Meta Ads Frequency Calculator
Enter impressions and reach to see how many times the average person saw your ad. Catch ad fatigue before it starts eating your results.
How is frequency calculated?
Frequency is total impressions divided by reach. If 50,000 impressions reached 20,000 people, your frequency is 2.5, meaning each person saw the ad 2.5 times on average.
How should you read your frequency?
Below 2 is usually healthy; your message still feels fresh. Between 2 and 3.5 is the watch zone: fine if results hold, but keep an eye on falling click-through rates. Above 3.5 signals creative fatigue risk, as the same people see your ad again and again.
What to do when frequency climbs?
Refresh your visuals and copy first; a new creative often resets fatigue. If that is not enough, broaden the audience, spread the budget or pause the campaign briefly.
Frequently asked questions
What is an ideal ad frequency?
For most campaigns, 1.5 to 2.5 per week is considered balanced. Retargeting audiences tolerate higher frequency; what matters is that your cost per result stays stable.
Why does high frequency lower CTR?
The more often the same person sees an ad, the less curious they get and the less likely they are to click. Rising frequency with falling CTR means it is time to refresh the ad.
